Yesterday was a very busy day. Clare finished up her surgeries, had most of her tubes pulled, and is resting comfortably. They are waiting for the brain swelling to go down and for her to decide when it is time to wake up. This is her timetable and has nothing to do with what we want. That is the hard part. We don't know how long it will take her to re-wire the damaged parts of her brain to be healthy enough to wake up. After that it may take even longer to relearn things. We just don't know.
For Kris he is determined to get out of this place. They took most all of his tubes out including the one giving him pain medication. Today will be a test to see if they can get the medications right so that he can tolerate the pain.
This blog was initially set up to get information to you. Now, Kris is able to read (and hopefully Clare will soon) and gain strength from your well wishes. Please join those that have already left comments, and let them know of your love and support for them.
Way to go Kris!
ReplyDeleteHang in there Clark and Annette! How hard it must be to watch these kids struggle. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you and the kids at home.

Meadow Town is thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers! May the Lord bless you!
ReplyDeleteHi Kris, all of us here at the Sheriff's Office have been pulling for you and Clare. Not a minute goes by that we don't update each other. We are keeping both of you and your families in our prayers. We are just a keystroke away from you letting us know if we can do anything from here for you. Waiting is the hardest-it will teach you patient and then you can teach the rest of us. We will take care of things here if you will take care of getting better and taking care of Clare. Both of you have touched so many of us in the short time you have been here. Keep your chin up, keep strong, Clare will need that from you-temple blessings are with you. We will try and make sure that rooster stays away from Stacia. All of you are in our thoughts-Paulette
ReplyDeleteI love you both so much and you are in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteI pray these two are getting some needed rest and healing in the process. We keep both of you and your family in our prayers. Keep being patient, sing and talk to Clare they (???) say they can hear you and encourage her. Wish we could do it for you. - Paulette
