Princess

I had a request to post a picture of Clare in her Halloween costume. She was a princess in her prom dress from high school and we did her makeup all glittery/silvery. She was pretty happy with the way it turned out.

I sure wish I would have gotten a better picture, but how was I to know she would want to shower and get in her pajamas 20 minutes after we finished getting her ready? No amount of bribing and trying to talk her into keeping it on until Kris and our family came could convince her...

Guess we'll have to do it again another time

Everyone is starting "Thankful" blogs for the month of November. Even though I won't keep up on it, I want to say that I am so thankful for the support of family and friends for Clare. I am thankful for her amazing recovery. I am thankful for her sense of humor that is coming back. I am thankful for her big smiles when loved ones come in the room.
There are so many things I take for granted, but I count these blessings every day.

  1. I am a resident of Millard County and am not well acquainted with your family. I heard about the accident after it happened and have inquired about Kris and Clare from time to time from members of the community that do know them. I was at a friends last evening and she had this blog up. I asked her for the website. I opened it first thing this morning and started at the beginning, back in August. It has been a very inspiring day and I was so overcome with tender emotions as I read your entries. What a blessing this will be for Clare and Kris and their future family. I am grateful for the daily testimony of faith and hope you and your family have shared with us. What a beautiful love story as well. My heart goes out to all of you! My prayers will be added to the many other members of our community and your friends and family for the continual blessing of health and strength and progress of Clare. And for strength, comfort and peace to be with Kris and your family as you continue this journey. I believe in the power of prayer and the power of priesthood blessings. They have been a source of continual strength throughout my own life. I have lived here the entirety of my life and have been the recipient of many acts of love and kindness. There are good people here on both sides of our county. Thank you again for sharing your story of faith, love, hope, tender mercies, miracles and endurance. May our Heavenly Father continue to bless you all.
